Alerts

Which changes to your backlink profile trigger an alert, and how to tune what you hear about.

SWritten by Serpfeed SupportUpdated July 10, 2026

You shouldn't have to log in every day to know whether something needs your attention. Serpfeed watches your backlink profile in the background and surfaces the changes worth knowing about, so the important ones reach you without the noise.

What triggers an alert

  • A link goes live: outreach paid off and a target started linking to you.
  • A link is lost: a backlink you had disappeared.
  • A link is at risk: a live link turned toxic, went nofollow, or broke.
  • A disavow is ready: Serpfeed prepared a disavow for a toxic link and it is waiting for you to submit.

Where alerts show up

Alerts appear in the notifications bell in the app, so the latest changes are always a click away. The most important ones also reach you by email, so you hear about them even when you are not logged in.

Tuning what you hear about

If your inbox is getting busy, you can adjust which emails Serpfeed sends from your notification preferences. The in-app bell always keeps the full history, so quieting your email never means losing track of anything.
