Discovery
How many opportunities will I get?
It depends on your site, your niche, and how many competitors you add. Competitors are the biggest lever, so a project with two or three good ones usually gets a much fuller feed than one with none.
Does finding opportunities cost credits?
No. Discovery and browsing your feed are always free. Credits only come in when you accept an opportunity to enrich and act on it.
How do I get new opportunities after the first run?
Refresh discovery from the Linkbuilding page. There's a cooldown so it doesn't re-scan the same ground constantly: once every 30 days on the free plan, and once every 7 days on paid plans.
Do I need competitors for discovery to work?
No, but they help a lot. Without competitors you still get your own backlinks, unlinked mentions, guest-post and resource-page footprints, and curated directories. Competitors add the competitor-gap opportunities on top.
Quality & types
What makes a good opportunity?
Relevance first: a link from a site in or near your niche. Then authority (a stronger domain), a clean spam signal, and a reachable contact. Serpfeed surfaces all of these when you accept an opportunity.
Why does the same domain link to several of my competitors?
That's a strong signal, not a duplicate. A domain that links to multiple competitors clearly links to businesses in your space, so your odds of getting a link there are better. Serpfeed shows this overlap so you can prioritize.
What are unlinked mentions?
Pages that name your brand in their text but don't link to you. They're some of the easiest wins, because the writer already knows you exist; often a short, friendly email is all it takes to turn the mention into a link.
